EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Eight different Missouri State players scored at least seven points, and the Lady Bears posted one of the top rebounding games in school history Thursday evening on the way to an 88-46 victory against Evansville at Meeks Family Fieldhouse.

The Lady Bears (19-9, 15-2 Missouri Valley Conference) tied a school record with their 10th consecutive MVC road win, collected 60 rebounds for just the eighth time in school history, and were plus-32 on the boards for the third-largest margin in program history. MSU's 42-point margin of victory was the largest in a road game since a 96-49 win at Bradley on Feb. 20, 1999.

Missouri State never trailed, with five scorers in a 10-0 run to a 16-5 lead, and eight scorers in the first quarter for a 28-11 margin after 10 minutes. MSU led by 20 at 37-17 with 6:01 before halftime on a pair of Danielle Gitzen free throws, and only made two more field goals before the break, but still managed to expand the margin to 43-22 at intermission.

The Lady Bears shot 63 percent in the third quarter, and wrapped a 17-0 run over the final two periods, during which freshman Sydney Wilson scored nine of her career-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, to lead 80-40 with 6:06 left in the game.

Jasmine Franklin added 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, nine rebounds and three blocks, tying her for seventh place on MSU's single season list with 39 stuffs, four shy of the freshman record. Emily Gartner tallied 10 points, Alexa Willard had eight points and a season-high eight boards, Brice Calip scored eight with six rebounds, and Abby Hipp had nine points and four assists.

Mya Bhinhar handed out eight assists, the most by an MSU freshman since November 2015, and the Lady Bears dished out 21 helpers compared to 10 turnovers. 

Missouri State shot 48 percent overall and held the Purple Aces (4-24, 2-15) to 27 percent from the field. The Lady Bears scored 58 points in the paint and got 41 off the bench on the way to their 80th win in the last four seasons and first 8-0 start in MVC road games in school history.

MSU closes regular season play on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Indiana State (11-17, 5-12). The Sycamores lost to Southern Illinois on Thursday, 80-61.
