Golfers in 11th After 36 Holes in Arkansas

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. – Missouri State women's golf is tied for 11th after 36 holes at the 2019 Little Rock Golf Classic. The golf Bears carded 300-299 (+23) to end round two at the Diamante Country Club, a par-72 course in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
 
Sophomore Abby Cavaiani is guiding the team after recording 72-74 (+2) in the first two rounds, tying in 14th. Within six strokes are teammates sophomore Allison Bray with 77-74 (tied for 45th) and freshman Johanna Wollenhaupt with 76-76 (tied for 55th). 
 
Also competing for the Bears are junior Bridget Schulte with 81-75 (+12) and sophomore Brooke Newell with 75-83 (+14). Freshman Taylor Towers, competing individually, tallies 77-77 (+10).
 
After day two, Western Kentucky remains in the lead of the 17-team competition (291-286), while Bradley (295-287) and UTEP (300-285) are in second and third, respectively. California Baptist (293-293) is in fourth, while Jacksonville State climbs the leaderboard (300-290) in fifth.
 
The 54-hole event will end tomorrow (Oct. 29) with a final 18 holes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available on GolfStat.com.
