September 05, 2018

SPRINGFIELD – Due to anticipated heavy thunderstorms in the Springfield area Thursday (Sept. 6) afternoon and evening, Missouri State University's football home opener against Lincoln University will be moved to an 11 a.m. kickoff Thursday at Robert W. Plaster Stadium.

With classes in session Thursday morning, BearFest Village tailgating activities will not be held, and parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis in all university lots. Shuttle services are available at no charge for fans parking in the BearPark North parking garage.

The game will air live on KWTO (98.7) locally, along with the following MSU Bears Radio Network affiliates: KWOD-AM 1660 – Kansas City; KLIK-AM 1240 – Jefferson City; KASR-FM 92.7 – Conway/Little Rock; KYRO-AM 1280 – Troy. The game will not be shown on ESPN3, as originally scheduled.

Tickets for the game are still available in all sections by calling (417) 836-7678 or visiting MissouriStateBears.com. Missouri State students are admitted free of charge with a valid BearPass ID.

Tickets for the Thursday game may be exchanged for another home game during the 2018 season if fabs are unable to attend due to the change in starting time.  Unused tickets may be returned to the JQH Arena box office for an exchange. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
