
Golf Bears Take 6th in MSU/Payne Stewart

Finishing up play in the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, the Missouri State women's golf team came in sixth shooting 308-295-305—908.
Freshman Abby Cavaiani remained in the top 20 after shooting 74-71-79—224. Niamh Lendrum improved the most in round three, carding a team low 72 on the day. Lendrum tied for 30th with 81-75-72—228. Rachel Johnson tied for 37th with 76-79-76—231. Ashley Childers carded 83-71-78—232 and Allison Bray had 77-78-80—235.
Four Missouri State golfers competed as individuals with Bridget Schulte leading the way shooting 79-83-78—240. Tied for 71st Ryan Pate carded 78-82-81—241, Faith Belmear had 87-75-83 and Sophia Sadaro had 81-83-83—247.
Individually, Sydney Colwill of Memphis took the overall title after beating Linette Holmslykke of Murray State following a sudden death playoff on the second extra hole.
In the team results Memphis finished first with 860, 13 strokes ahead of second place UTEP (873). Murray State (886) came in third followed by, Wichita State (891), Oral Roberts (897), the Bears (908), Arkansas State (911), Southern Illinois (913), Oklahoma City U. (929), Omaha (933), UMKC (934), Little Rock (936), Creighton (963), Drury (975), William Woods (1009).
