SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri State women's tennis team earned the four seed in the Missouri Valley Conference Team Tennis Championship and will take on five seed Bradley at 10 a.m. to open the tournament on Friday, April 27 at Cooper Tennis Complex the league announced Monday.
Admission to the event is free for fans.
The Bears completed the regular season 9-9 and 3-2 against league opponents. Bradley holds a 5-14 record in the spring and 2-3 in Valley contests.
In the squads' match up on April 7, MSU defeated Bradley, 4-3, at the Clubs at River City in Bloomington, Ill. The Braves captured the doubles point, but the Bears collected three-set thrillers from
Anelisse Torrico Moreno,
Fati Khamissi,
Ellie Burger and
Abbey Belote to open the league slate with a win.
Khamissi leads the Bears with a 5-0 record against MVC opponents and a 13-4 record at No. 4 singles.
