Box Score CONWAY, ARK. – The Missouri State women's tennis team closed non-conference play on Friday with a 6-1 loss to McNeese State in a neutral site contest at UCA Tennis Courts.

McNeese State (11-2) just edged Missouri State (5-7) in doubles action to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.

Sophomore Alye Darter captured Missouri State's only win at No. 1 singles. The Rogers, Ark., native collected a three-set victory, 6-0, 4-6, 10-8, over McNeese State's Giovanna Fioretti to move to 5-7 on the season for the Bears.

Missouri State opens Missouri Valley Conference play next weekend in Illinois. MSU will first take on Bradley on Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. in Peoria, then face Illinois State on Sunday, April 8, at 10 a.m. in Normal.
