
MSU Tennis Collects 6-1 Victory over South Dakota St.

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State women's tennis team moved back to .500 on the season with a 6-1 victory over South Dakota State on Friday afternoon at Cooper Tennis Complex.
MSU, now 5-5 on the season, swept the doubles point. Both of the No.1 and No. 2 doubles teams collected 6-2 victories. Fati Khamissi and Alexia Meyer coming out on top at the No. 3 match, 7-6(5) over Emilly Van Dijk and Maria Laura Velazco.
The Bears kept the pressure on the Jacks in singles play, winning each of the No. 1 through No. 5 flights in straight sets. Khamissi extended her winning streak at No. 4 singles to four, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Morgan Brower.
Missouri State travels to Manhattan, Kansas, to take on No. 40 Kansas State on Sunday, March 18, with first serve set for 4 p.m.
