
Eichner Named ITA Scholar-Athlete

TEMPE, Ariz. – Leni Eichner of Missouri State women's tennis has been named as a 2026 Division I Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete.
The native of Germany will be entering her sophomore year this fall and joins 1,500 other Division I women's student-athletes with ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
Eichner met the criteria to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, by having a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and being listed on the institutional eligibility form.
The ITA recognizes the importance of academia in the collegiate tennis experience and seeks to recognize and uplift athletes excelling both on court and in the classroom.
