Missouri State makes its final road trip of the regular season this weekend when the Bears head north to face UNI at 6 p.m. Friday and Drake at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Bears (15-12, 8-6 Missouri Valley Conference) have won four consecutive matches to climb to fifth in MVC standings, and host Valparaiso and Loyola on Nov. 16 and 17 to close the regular season before the MVC Tournament takes place at Hammons Student Center over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Opponents
UNI is 19-8 overall, 13-1 in Valley matches, and boasts an RPI of 15 while sitting just outside the AVCA top 25 poll. The Panthers own a pair of top-15 wins this season, with Karlie Taylor (4.68 kills/set) and Piper Thomas (3.64 kills on .349 hitting) leading a high-powered offense that hits .242 and ranks sixth nationally with 14.70 kills per set. The Panthers allow a .199 hitting percentage and average 1.04 aces, 17.30 digs and 1.66 blocks.
Drake is 17-12 overall and 5-9 in MVC play after losing five of its last six matches. Preseason all-Valley selection Cathryn Cheek averages 3.69 kills and 2.87 digs per set, and Elle Tubbs ranks among the league leaders with 0.97 blocks per set. As a team, the Bulldogs hit .186 and allow a .173 efficiency with averages of 13.17 kills, 1.04 aces, 17.56 digs and 2.06 blocks per set.

Series Histories
Missouri State's six-match win streak in the UNI series was snapped in Springfield on Oct. 13, and the Panthers own the overall lead by a 50-26 margin.
MSU is 62-9 against Drake and has won 38 of the last 39 meetings, the exception being a loss in Springfield in 2010.

First Meetings This Season
Missouri State dropped a heartbreaker to UNI at home on Oct. 13. The Bears led the Panthers 14-11 in the fifth set before UNI made a miraculous comeback for the 17-15 win.  Amelia Flynn had 25 kills, one shy of her own MSU freshman kills record.
The Bears had 17 blocks, their most in 10 years, in a 3-0 win against Drake on Oct. 12. Four players had at least four stuffs, and Ashley Ophoven led all players with 17 kills on .308 hitting.
