St. LOUIS -- Missouri State's
Amelia Flynn earned Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week accolades for the third time the season on Monday, the league office announced in its weekly volleyball notebook.
Flynn averaged 3.64 kills, 4.09 digs and 4.09 points per set in three MSU victories last week. The outside hitter began the week with 11 kills, 16 digs and three blocks in Monday's 3-1 win at Valpo.Â
Friday, the freshman from Lake St. Louis, Mo., had eight kills and career-high 18 digs in a home sweep of Evansville, and she concluded the week with 21 kills on .302 hitting against Indiana State, adding 11 digs for her 10th double-double of the season. Flynn also had four assists and two aces on the week while hitting .245 from the outside.
Missouri State (15-12, 8-6 MVC) visits UNI at 6 p.m. Friday and Drake at 7 p.m. Saturday on its final road trip of the regular season.
