Missouri State travels to the Hoosier State this weekend for Missouri Valley Conference matches with Indiana State at 6 p.m. Friday and Evansville at 7 p.m. Saturday.
   The Bears are now 8-9 overall and 1-3 in MVC matches after last week's home sweep of Southern Illinois, the 500th career win for
Melissa Stokes.
The Opponents
Indiana State is 7-10 overall and 0-5 in MVC play. Four Sycamores average at least two kills per set, led by Laura Gross with averages of 3.06 kills and 3.73 digs. ISU hits .185 as a team, allows a .260 hitting percentage, and averages 11.83 kills, 0.91 aces, 15.95 digs and 2.02 blocks per set.
   Evansville is 6-12 overall and 0-5 in Valley matches after losing eight consecutive contests. Rachel Tam ranks second in the league with 4.38 kills per set on .194 hitting, and the Aces hit .138 as an offense while allowing a .227 efficiency. As a team, UE averages 11.41 kills, 1.12 aces, 13.45 digs and 1.32 blocks per set.
Series Histories
MSU leads the all-time series with Indiana State by a 65-1 margin, with the Bears' lone loss occurring in five sets in 1994. Since then, the Bears have reeled off 51 straight wins against the Sycamores.Â
   The Bears lead Evansville by a 46-3 margin, losing just twice since 1999.
