Phoebe Boeschen advanced to the finals of the fourth flight as the MSU Fall Invitational concluded its second day of competition at Cooper Tennis Complex here Saturday.

After advancing on a bye in the first round, Boeschen defeated her Tennessee State opponent 6-1, 6-3 to move on to the championship match against SEMO's Emelie taking place tomorrow.

Alye Darter split on the day, earning the tiebreak advantage in a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win over Western Illinois before falling in a three-set thriller to Missouri, 3-6, 6-3, 10-4. She will battle in the fifth-place bracket on Sunday.

Newcomer
Anna Alons also advanced to the fifth-place bracket in her respective flight after a narrow loss to her SEMO opponent 3-6, 6-3, 12-10.

After moving to the consolation singles bracket,
Clara Gandara Gonzalez crusied to a 6-2, 6-4 doubles win against Western Illinois. She will face Western Illinois to compete for ninth place.

Mara Presot surged in the second set, but was unable to complete the comeback in both of her matches.
