Iowa City, Iowa – The Missouri State women's tennis team capped off action at the ITA Central Regional Championships here Sunday.

Alye Darter was the lone competitor for the Bears on their final day, falling to her Oklahoma opponent in a tight 7-6 (3), 6-2 match in the singles consolation bracket.

"This was a tough weekend for us but I love the quality of matches we got to play," said head coach Mallory Weber. "Alye went toe to toe with her opponents in all three of her singles matches. It's tournaments like these that make us ready for dual matches in the spring."

The Bears will host the Missouri State Fall Invitational Friday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 28, making their last event of the fall season.
