SPRINGFIELD – With a certainty of rain in the forecast for the Springfield area, Missouri State's softball game against SIU Edwardsville on Wednesday has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
 
The Bears' game against Wichita State this afternoon (5 p.m.) will be played as scheduled. Admission for today's game is free as part of the team's annual Orange Game. All proceeds collected at the gate will benefit cancer research through St. Jude's.
 
Missouri State (22-19, 10-10 MVC) is also scheduled to host Drake at Killian Stadium this Saturday and Sunday in the final regular-season home games for the Bears. If weather affects those games, additional updates will be distributed through MissouriStateBears.com and MSU social media channels.
