SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State's tennis team begins what will become a 10-match road trip over the course of the next six weeks Friday when it takes on Saint Louis at 1 p.m. in O'Fallon, Ill. The Bears then head to SIU Edwardsville on Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

MSU Notables
Missouri State is 4-6 overall and 0-1 in Missouri Valley Conference matches...Freshman Alye Darter is on a six-match winning streak, including a 5-0 record at the No. 1 singles spot...MSU owns a 6-4 record at No. 5 singles this season - its best mark at any position - spread among three different players...The Bears are 9-4 in their last 13 home matches...Darter (10) and classmate Alexia Meyer (8) rank 1-2 among the Bears in singles wins this season.

The Opponents
Saint Louis is 5-6 overall and 4-1 at home. The Billikens have lost their last three matches. SIUE is 8-0 during the spring semester. The Cougars own road wins over Drake and Illinois State this season.

The Series
Missouri State is 3-4 all-time against Saint Louis and 1-1 versus SIUE. The Bears lost to SLU 7-0 in Springfield last season, and dropped a 5-2 decision at SIUE in the last meeting in 2015.
