The Missouri State women's golf team sits in 12
th place of 19 teams after round one of the Rio Verde Invitation in Rio Verde, Arizona. The Bears shot 312 in their opening day on Friday (Feb. 24), just 17 strokes off the leading UMKC Roos.
Caroline Boone paced the Bears and is tied for eighth with a 2-over 74. Junior
Verena Gimmy sits close behind after firing a 78 on day one but is in a 13-way tie for 37

Ryan Pate each had 80 for the Bears.
Competing as an Individual, sophomore

Round two starts Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT with the final round set for Sunday.
