SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State will host a pair of duals on Friday, Feb. 17, taking on Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 2 p.m. and Southeast Missouri State at 7 p.m. at Cooper Tennis Complex.
Scouting the Bears
MSU is 3-3 in duals this season after a 4-3 victory at IUPUI on Feb. 11. Freshmen
Alye Darter and
Alexia Meyer share the team lead with seven singles victories on the year, including both dual and tournament play, while Darter posted a 2-0 record last week playing at the top two singles positions. Sophomore
Fati Khamissi is the reigning MSU Student-Athlete of the Week following her 3-1 performance in singles and doubles last week.
The Opponents
UAPB is 0-4 ahead of a Thursday match with Arkansas Tech. SEMO is 3-2 with wins against Arkansas State, Western Illinois and Quincy.
The Series
Missouri State is unbeaten in the all-time series against this weekend's opponents, with a 1-0 record against UAPB and 2-0 mark versus SEMO. Last season, the Bears won 4-0 at UAPB and 6-1 in a home match with SEMO.
