SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri State University Board of Governors announced Thursday that volleyball senior Lily Johnson is one of six MSU students to receive the 2017-18 Citizen Scholar Award for living out the university's public affairs mission, excelling in their studies and taking on leadership roles.

An American Volleyball Coaches Association Third Team All-American for her on-court performance this season, and the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America of the Year for her classroom efforts, Johnson adds the award to her impressive resume.
