Sunday - Senior Day

The Missouri State volleyball team (22-5, 14-0 Missouri Valley Conference) celebrates a special senior class and looks to secure a second consecutive MVC title this weekend when it welcomes second-place UNI (23-6, 13-2) to Hammons Student Center for a noon Saturday first serve and hosts Drake (23-6, 12-3) at 2 p.m. Sunday.
    The Bears can secure at least a share of the conference title with a victory over UNI on Saturday, and will clinch an outright championship with two victories.
    For both matches, fans wearing BearWear gain free admission, and ticket vouchers are also available at area Price Cutter locations. MSU's four seniors will be honored after Sunday's match.

The Opponents
UNI is 23-6 overall and 13-2 in MVC play with losses to MSU and Illinois State. The Panthers have been ranked as high as 20th in the AVCA Coaches Poll this season, and Karlie Taylor, Piper Thomas and Bri Weber all average at least 3.31 kills per set. As a team, UNI hits .245 and holds opponents to a .170 efficiency with averages of 15.15 kills, 1.04 aces, 19.28 digs and 1.77 blocks per set.
    Drake is having one of its best seasons in school history with a 23-6 record and 12-3 league mark. The Bulldogs are led by senior outside hitter Kyla Inderski, who averages 3.34 kills and 3.88 digs per set, and hit .205 as a team compared to .174 for the opposition. The Bulldogs average 13.44 kills, 1.00 aces, 19.05 digs and 1.80 blocks per set.

Series Histories
The all-time series with UNI is 49-24 in favor of the Panthers. MSU has won the last four meetings after UNI won 13 of 14. 
    MSU is 60-9 against Drake and has won 36 of the last 37 meetings, the exception being a loss in Springfield in 2010.    

First Meetings This Season
Missouri State grabbed a pair of hard-fought road wins in October, beating Drake 3-2 on the 13th and UNI in four sets on the 14th. Against Drake, the Bears set school single-match records for digs (153) and attacks (266), while Lily Johnson finished with 28 kills and 32 digs and Emily Butters added 44 digs of her own for the second-best total MSU history. The next night, Johnson went for 22 more kills and 18 digs to help the Bears win in Cedar Falls for the second consecutive season.
