
Bears Best Bradley in Sixth Straight Shutout

PEORIA, Ill. – The Missouri State men's soccer team captured its seventh straight win Saturday night with a 1-0 overtime shutout victory over Bradley. The Bears sit atop the Missouri Valley Conference standings after improving to 4-0 in conference play and 8-2-1 overall with their sixth straight shutout.
In the 94th minute of the match, junior Conor Ingram netted in his sixth goal of the season and fifth game winner. The goal came off a low cross from five yards out from Dylan De Jong and Jake Buckle on the double assist. Ingram paces the squad this season, marking goals in six of the last eight games.
The Bears got off eight total shots with two aimed at goal. Harry Lewis led the way for the Bears with three shots flowed by Josh Dolling and Ingram with two each.
The Braves recorded seven shots during the match with two on goal. Both shots on goal came in the second half.
MSU senior goalkeeper Liam Priestley held up his eight shutout of the season and sixth consecutive. Priestley has recorded 22 shutouts in his career, which puts him third overall in Missouri State history.
Priestley made back to back impressive and timely saves in the 57th minute of the match. Bradley's Jha'Lon Johnson and Alex Ciaramitro got off back-to-back headers, but Priestley showed his athleticism to keep the Braves out of goal.
The Bears will continue conference play at home as they take on Drake (0-3-1) Saturday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
