The Missouri State volleyball team (13-5, 5-0 Missouri Valley Conference) is off to a 5-0 conference start for the first time since 2009, and will play five of its next seven matches on the road, beginning with a 7 p.m. Saturday contest at Southern Illinois (4-12, 3-2). MSU has won 21 consecutive regular-season MVC matches since the Salukis earned a 3-2 win in Springfield on Sept. 26 of last season, and has also been victorious in its last 14 MVC road contests.

Southern Illinois is 4-12 overall and 3-2 in MVC play with league wins against Bradley, Valparaiso and Evansville.
