NASSAU, Bahamas -- Chris Kendrix scored 23 points to lead four Bears in double figures, and Missouri State cruised to a 107-67 win over the Providence Storm in the team's first of three exhibition games as part of its five-day foreign tour of the Bahamas.

Kendrix knocked down six 3-pointers and made 8-of-11 field goals overall to pace the way for MSU, which shot 58 percent from the field.

The Bears also got 17 points and a game-high seven assists from newcomer Ronnie Rousseau III. Obediah Church tacked on 14 points behind 7-of-8 from the field with four dunks, and Dequon Miller scored 13 points to go with four assists and three steals.

Missouri State, which outrebounded the Storm by a 52-38 margin, got a game-high 12 caroms from senior Jordan Martin, while newcomer Jarrid Rhodes posted 8 rebounds. Robin Thompson blocked five shots for the maroon and white in a reserve role.

Each of the 10 MSU players in uniform found their way into the scoring column. Rousseau and Alize Johnson joined returnees Kendrix, Church and Miller in the starting lineup for Coach Paul Lusk's troops.

The Bears extended a 24-17 lead at the end of the first period into a 52-32 advantage at the midway point. MSU also capitalized on 50 points in the paint in the 40-point win and got 37 points from its reserves.

Providence was led by former Gannon University standout Girbran Smith who tallied 18 points behind four 3-pointers. The Storm shot just 29.7 percent from the field, but capitalized on 19 offensive rebounds to account for half its field goals.

The Bears return to the hardwood at the Sir Kendal Isaacs Gym on Thursday with a 6 p.m. (Central) game against the Athletic Club of the Bahamas. The team will also spend Thursday morning with children at a local orphanage.
