Bears Tennis Announces Fall 2016 Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Missouri State women's tennis head coach Mallory Weber announced Tuesday (Aug. 16) her team's 2016 fall schedule. The first half of the season slate includes three home events, including the inaugural Missouri State Fall Tournament.

The Bears open up the fall season at the UCA Fall Invitational, Sept. 23-25 in Conway, Ark. After the opening tournament, the Bears will return home to Cooper Tennis Complex to take on Tennessee State in a pair of duals, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

The Bears then head to Evansville for the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Tournament, Oct. 8-10.  Three days later, MSU will head to the ITA Regional Championships in Minneapolis, Oct. 13-16.

"Our fall schedule will prepare us well for the type of competition we will see going into our main spring season," Weber said. "All eight players are going to have an opportunity to play a lot of high quality matches, both at home and on the road. We are especially looking forward to having three home dates on the schedule including hosting our own tournament to close out the fall."

The Bears round out the fall season on Oct. 28-29 at home where they will host the Missouri State Fall Tournament at Cooper Tennis Complex.
