MSU's deep returning cast in the offensive backfield includes junior Calan Crowder, who has rushed for 1,072 yards and six TD's over his first two seasons in Maroon and White.
Crowder, a 2014 MVFC All-Newcomer selection, rushed for a Bears' season-high 164 yards vs. Chadron State, as well as a pair of touchdowns vs. Indiana State last fall.
Sophomore Jason Randall is the Bears' top returning rusher after logging 379 yards last year.
Randall recorded four 50-plus-yard rushing efforts, including a pair of 77-yard outings vs. Arkansas State and South Dakota.
Senior Phoenix Johnson finished second on the team in rushing with 575 ground yards as a sophomore in 2014.
Sophomore Nick Masoner saw action in nine games last year and could factor into the plan for MSU running backs coach Munir Prince.
Redshirt freshman Gerard Harker and newcomer Richard Nelson will also be asked to add depth to the Bears' backfield; Nelson was a second-team all-state pick for Las Vegas Chapparal High School, where he rushed for 558 yards and 10 touchdowns to go along with 15 catches and four recieving TD's.
