  • Brodie Lambert and Breck Ruddick, who combined to make all 11 starts at quarterback last fall, return to lead the offense.
  • Lambert made nine starts in 2015, ranking eighth in the MVFC and 80th nationally in completion percentage (.531); also ranked sixth in the Valley in completions per game (9.36).
  • Against Indiana State, Lambert turned in career highs for completions  (26) and passing yards (197), while tossing his first TD pass as a Bear.
  • Ruddick started the first two games of the 2015 season as a redshirt freshman, completing 14 passes, including one for a touchdown, in his collegiate debut at Memphis.
  • Ruddick also racked up 197 yards of total offense in his first start at Plaster Stadium vs. Chadron State, marking the biggest single-game output by a freshman QB since Cody Kirby totaled 278 yards of offense vs. SEMO on Nov. 10, 2007; Ruddick's 55-yard scoring run represented the longest rush by a Missouri State freshman since the 2009 season, when Mikael Cooper-Falls ripped off a 57-yarder; it also marked the longest for a Bears signal-caller in 22 years.
  • Redshirt freshman Michael Briggs could also factor into MSU's plans, while redshirt freshman transfer Brett Geisz and true freshman Sam Hall will provide additional depth at the poistion.
