Softball Schedule
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - For the second-straight day, rain has forced the postponement and rescheduling of a Missouri State softball game. The midweek tilt at Arkansas scheduled for 5:00 p.m. today has been moved to March 29 at 5:00 p.m. at Bogle Park in Fayetteville.
Also, in an effort to avoid other rain outs and take advantage of a favorable Thursday forecast in Kansas, the Bears will travel to Lawrence, Kan., on Thursday, a day prior to previously scheduled, to participate in the Jayhawk Invitational. MSU will play UMKC and host Kansas at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, on Thursday, March 10. The remaining weekend schedule is still in flux as the Jayhawks work to ensure all teams get the same number of games in that they were scheduled to play while in Lawrence. Check MissouriStateBears.com for more updates on this weekend's schedule.
Following this weekend's action in Kansas, the Bears travel to Stillwater, Okla., to face Oklahoma State on Wednesday, March 16 in the final non-conference game prior to the start of MVC play. Missouri State will host Illinois State on March 19 and 20 in a three-game set to begin Valley play and the home slate at Killian Stadium. Games against the Redbirds begin at 12:00 p.m. both days.
