CHANDLER, Ariz. - Sixteen Missouri State student-athletes were named to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Tuesday, March 22.
The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
MSU seniors Patrice Ahl (St. Albert, Alberta), Kimberleigh Eng (Woodbridge, Va.), Jackie Eskue (Fallbrook, Calif.), Cami Mullins (Worthington, Ohio), Jessi Pope (Stafford, Va.), Charlie Redhead (Norfolk, England) and Holly Scherer (Belmont, Ontario) completed their collegiate careers by earning their fourth selections to the National Academic Squad.
Receiving their third selections to the National Academic Squad were juniors Megan Drew (San Diego, Calif.) and Brynne Satre (Davis, Calif.), along with senior Sydney Richelieu (Fallbrook, Calif.).
Second-time selections for the Bears on the list included Paige Pashea (Edwardsville, Ill.) and Andrea Soler Codina (Terrassa, Spain).
Missouri State Junior Liz Young (San Diego, Calif.), sophomore Bianca Mills (Huntington Beach, Calif.), and freshmen Feli Heinzel (Seeheim-Jugenheim, Germany) and Emily Tran (San Diego, Calif.) were first-time recipients of the NFHCA.
The Bears were previously named a 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team by the organization Monday for maintaining a 3.0 Team GPA during the 2015 fall semester.
