SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri State field hockey team and head coach Catherine Ostoich announced their 2016 spring exhibition schedule on Tuesday, March 22. The Bears will travel to two sites for six games and host two opponents at Betty and Bobby Allison North Stadium on April 16.

"I'm really excited (about the spring schedule)," Bears head coach Catherine Ostoich said. "I think it will be a great test for us this spring to kind of see where we are at and see what we have to do to get ourselves ready for this fall. The girls have been working hard so far, so it will be nice to finally get to play some other competition."

MSU begins its exhibition schedule by traveling to St. Charles, Missouri, for four games on the campus of Lindenwood University. The Bears open play April 9 at 8:40 a.m. by taking on Bellarmine. MSU will face Saint Louis at 10 a.m. and Lindenwood at 11:20 a.m. to close out morning play, then will complete 11-on-11 competition at 1:20 p.m. against DePauw.

Missouri State hosts Saint Louis and Lindenwood the following weekend in Springfield. The Bears will begin action on April 16 at 10 a.m. against the Billikens at Allison North Stadium. MSU completes full-team competition at 12 p.m. versus Lindenwood.

The Bears close out their spring schedule with a trip to Iowa City on April 23 for matchups with two Big Ten opponents. MSU faces host Iowa at 11:45 a.m. and concludes the day against Northwestern at 1 p.m.
