Missouri State (21-7, 12-2 Missouri Valley Conference) closes the home portion of its schedule this weekend at Hammons Student Center with matches against Indiana State (10-16, 4-10) at 7 p.m. Friday and Illinois State (16-10, 9-5) at 7 p.m. Saturday.

   The Bears remain in first place in the MVC standings after winning their last 12 matches for the school's longest streak since 2003. MSU is followed closely by Wichita State (11-3), Southern Illinois (11-4) and UNI (10-4) as much is still to be decided in the league race.
   MSU is holding opponents to a .150 attack efficiency during its current win streak while hitting .271 as a team and surrendering only 29 aces in 44 sets.
Lily Johnson is averaging 5.30 kills per set over the last 12 matches as well.

The Opponents
Indiana State is 10-16 overall and 4-10 in MVC play. The Sycamores are led by Kynedi Nalls at 3.38 kills per set, and hit .201 as a team while allowing opponents a .214 efficiency. The Sycamores average 12.02 kills, 1.19 aces, 15.18 digs and 2.04 blocks per set.Â
   Illinois State is 16-10 overall and 9-5 in league matches. Aly Dawson and Jaelyn Keene each average at least 3.15 kills per set for the Redbirds, while Keene leads the league in hitting percentage (.443) and aces (0.46/set). ISU hits .243 as a team compared to .175 for the opposition and averages 13.62 kills, 1.24 aces, 16.78 digs and 1.84 blocks per set.

The Series
MSU leads the all-time series with Indiana State by a 60-1 margin, with the Bears' lone loss occurring in five sets in 1994. Since then, the Bears have reeled off 46 straight wins against the Sycamores.Â
   Missouri State has squared off with Illinois State more than any other school, and holds a 49-47 series lead in 96 all-time meetings. The Bears are 25-13 against ISU since 2001.

Missouri State earned a 3-2 at Illinois State on Oct. 14 in Normal.
Lily Johnson had 25 kills and the Bears never trailed in the fifth set for a 15-11 win. Missouri State hit .394 in cruising to a 3-0 win in Terre Haute the next night, with
Lynsey Wright hitting .714 with 11 kills.
