SPRINGFIELD -- The fall tennis season will come to a close this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29, when the Bears host the Missouri State Fall Invitational at Cooper Tennis Complex. Play begins at 9 a.m. each day.

"We are very excited to host a tournament here in Springfield at Cooper Tennis Complex," said head coach Mallory Weber. "It will be great to play on our home courts and we are looking forward to tough competition all weekend."

Competitors from Arkansas, Central Arkansas, Evangel, Louisiana Tech and SEMO will join the Bears at Cooper to play in two doubles and four singles flights, each comprised of eight teams or individuals. All eight members of MSU's roster will be in action at the tournament.

The Bears have played in three tournaments and own a 2-0 dual record this fall, accumulating 25 singles victories and eight doubles win as a team.
