SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State softball has announced the dates for its 2016 individual youth clinics, slated for Oct. 27 and 28 at the Bill Rowe Indoor Training Facility at Hammons Field (955 East Trafficway Street).

The clinic on Thursday, Oct. 27 is an offensive fundamentals session to include hitting, bunting, base running and sliding instruction, while the Friday, Oct. 28 clinic will focus on throwing, catching, pitching and defensive skill development.
An additional clinic for lefty slap hitters has been added for Thursday, Nov. 3 with skill development for slapping, drop bunting and speed training.

All three clinics are for youth softball players in third through seventh grades and will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sessions are $45 each, with discounts available for teams registering five or more players. Players should bring their own equipment to the clinics.

MSU graduate assistant coach and former Creighton University outfielder
Kelsey Allender will be the lead instructor for this year's clinics.
