2015-16 MVC Championship Sites

St. LOUIS -- Missouri State University will host the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship this fall, league commissioner Doug Elgin revealed Monday (June 1) as the conference announced each of its championship sites for the 2015-16 academic year.

Hammons Student Center hosts the league meet for the ninth time in program history over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 26-28. The Bears also hosted in 1982, 1984, 1991, 1993, 1996, 2003, 2007, and 2012, advancing to the championship match on four of those occasions with a title in 1993.

"I want to thank Kyle Moats and Casey Hunt for putting in a bid for us to host the 2015 Volleyball Championship," said MSU head coach Melissa Stokes, who enters her 20th season in 2015. "This opportunity only comes along every three to four years and sometimes longer, so to get to host is an honor and a privilege for our program and university."

The MVC Volleyball Championship includes the top six finishers from the regular season, with two matches on Thanksgiving, two semifinals on Nov. 27, and the title match on Nov. 28.
