Manhattan, Kan. - Missouri State scored multiple points in singles and earned a win in doubles, but the Kansas State Wildcats were too much as they defeated the Bears 5-2 in college women's tennis at the Body First Tennis and Fitness Center on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

MSU freshman Anelisse Torrico Moreno won her second-consecutive match at No. 5 singles for the Bears, beating KSU's Laura Hopton 6-4, 6-2.

The Bears tallied another point at No. 6 singles as freshman Abbey Belote took the match by default.

MSU kept within reach at No. 1 singles as junior Ema Turudija battled the KSU's Palma Juhasz into a third set. After falling 6-1 in the first, Turudija controlled the next set by taking the second 6-2, but Jahasz eventually won 6-3 in the third.

Despite two losses in doubles, MSU earned a 6-2 victory at the No. 3 slot between the pairing of Turudija and McIsaac. The victory is the second-consecutive for the duo, which also improved their doubles record together to 4-2 overall this season.

Missouri State travels to Jonesboro, Ark., for its next dual against the Arkansas State Red Wolves at 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at the RidgePointe Country Club.
