SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State sophomore goalkeeper Megan Drew made a career-high 12 saves, but the Miami RedHawks prevailed 3-0 over the Bears in college field hockey on Friday, Oct. 24, at Betty and Bobby Allison North Stadium.

MSU freshman Andrea Soler Codina took the only shot on goal for the Bears in the fourth minute, before Miami gained control of the momentum.

Ali Froede and Shannon Regan each scored in the 16th and 23rd minutes, respectively, for the RedHawks to give Miami a 2-0 lead heading into half.

Drew made six saves in both the first and second halves, keeping MSU within striking distance. However, Miami's Geagy Pritchard tallied her fifth goal of the season in the 49th minute to put the contest out of reach.

Soler Codina, Jackie Eskue and Charlie Redhead each registered shots for the Bears. Drew's 12 saves beat her previous career-high of 11 that she set in a 4-3 overtime loss to No. 20 James Madison on Sept. 19.

The Bears finish 3-4 at Betty and Bobby Allison North Stadium this season with the loss. MSU concludes its season on the road with a 2 p.m. matchup in Athens, Ohio, against MAC-opponent Ohio University on Friday, Oct. 31.
