Missouri State's Emma Clegg has been honored nationally for the third consecutive year for her achievements in the classroom by being named a Division I All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
Clegg, who graduated in May, compiled a 3.85 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in Geography. A native of Blackburn, Lancashire, England, she also was voted to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team twice, earned all-conference honors on the course last season and ranked third in the league. She previously was an All-American Scholar in 2011 and 2012.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is the most stringent in college athletics with members being required to carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and to have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's tournaments.
