SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State head softball coach Holly Hesse has announced that this weekend's series at Indiana State has shifted. The Bears (10-14, 1-1) will now play a single game on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Central instead of the originally scheduled game on Sunday. The doubleheader on Saturday will remain as scheduled.
This schedule change comes on the heels of this morning's announcement of tomorrow's postponement at Kansas. It is now the seventh schedule change of the season due to weather.
Last season, the Bears took two of three games against the Sycamores, sweeping the Saturday doubleheader at Killian Stadium with a pair of 1-0 shutouts. ISU prevailed in the Sunday game to snap the Bears' 11-game winning streak over the Sycamores.
Following this weekend's games, the Bears will return home next week for a conference series against Drake on March 29 and 30. MSU will then host 7th-ranked Missouri in a doubleheader on April 3 to close out the home stand.
