Based on the radar and imminent threat of severe weather, the Missouri State softball series finale with Southern Illinois has been cancelled. The youth clinic has also been cancelled. It marks the fourth consecutive season that the Bears (18-18, 6-8) and Salukis (25-12, 10-4) have had the season series cut short.

On Saturday, the two teams split a doubleheader. Missouri State got a 3-2 walk-off win in game two on an Ashley Brentz RBI single with two outs in the seventh inning. Chelsea Jones threw a complete game in the win.

Next up, the Bears will host a double header against Wichita State on Wednesday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. The doubleheader will conclude an eight-game home stand. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window at Killian Stadium on game days. Following Wednesday's doubleheader, MSU will travel to UNI for a three-game Valley series against the league-leading Panthers.
