Softball Reschedules Doubleheader with Kansas for March 27

March 18, 2012

With a soggy forecast for the next few days, head coach Holly Hesse has announced that the scheduled softball doubleheader with Kansas at Killian Stadium has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 27, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Missouri State (10-8, 1-2) was originally scheduled to play Kansas (20-5, 0-3) this Tuesday (March 20) at 3:00 p.m.

The Bears bounced back with a 4-2 win over Illinois State (15-13, 2-1) on Saturday as Natalie Rose fired her seventh complete game, the second of the weekend, in a seven-strikeout performance to salvage the final game of the conference-opening series.

Missouri State will next play a single game at Eastern Illinois on Thursday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. MSU will then continue conference play at Evansville on March 24 and 25, with 12:00 p.m. starts scheduled for both days. The Bears will then return to Killian to face the Jayhawks before setting out on the road to play at Drake and at UMKC.
