SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State softball head coach
Kasey Griffith announced today the addition of transfer Paityn Engemann. Engemann has two years of eligibility remaining.

Engemann comes to Missouri State after spending the last two seasons at the University of Central Arkansas. As a sophomore for the Bears in 2025, Engemann made 10 appearances and drew one start in the circle. She owned a 3-0 record, posted a 3.91 ERA and recorded one save in 25.1 innings of work on the season. As a true freshman for UCA in 2024, Engemann made six appearances with two starts in the circle. In limited action on a veteran-led staff, she tossed 10.0 innings and struck out four batters.
The Troy, Kan., native was a three-year starter at Troy High School under coach Kyle McConnaughey. During her career, Engemann was a two-time all-state performer and was named Kansas 2-1A Pitcher of the Year as a junior. After her freshman season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Engemann posted a 1.73 ERA with 78 strikeouts as a sophomore. She took a big leap in the circle in her junior campaign, owning a 0.73 with 161 strikeouts to earn the honor of Kansas 2-1A Pitcher of the Year. Engemann also batted .540 with 35 RBI and seven home runs as a junior, and received first-team all-state recognition as she helped lead her squad to a regional title and state-runner up finish. In her final season, she recorded a 1.49 ERA with 148 punch outs in the circle and was named a second-team all-state performer. Offensively, she batted .582 with 58 RBI and was one home run shy of tying the state record with 17 on the season.

Halle Studer, on the MoState softball roster for the upcoming season.
