The Missouri State Bears will host Old Dominion from the Colonial Athletic Conference on Saturday, Feb. 18 in the 2012 SEARS BracketBusters in a nationally televised game on ESPNU, starting at 4 p.m. at JQH Arena.
MSU (13-10) will be playing ODU (14-9) for the first time. The Monarchs of coach Blaine Taylor are off to a 9-2 start in the CAA and are led by standouts Kent Bazemore (13.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg) and Chris Cooper (11.2 ppg).
The 2012 SEARS BracketBusters series will include 71 games with schools from 16 conferences. Just 13 games were selected for the ESPN national spotlight to be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, Feb. 17-19.
Missouri State is 4-4 all-time in the BracketBusters series, which began in 2003. Valparaiso defeated the Bears 80-67 a year ago to end a three-game MSU BracketBusters winning streak. MSU is also 7-0 in BracketBusters return games, including a Nov. 4 win at Nevada. The Bears will return this year's BB game during the 2013-14 season.
