Missouri State's Kelsey Welber has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time in as many outings this season. She tied for fourth Tuesday (Sept. 27) at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in Manhattan, Kan., to share the award with Alisha Mathews of Southern Illinois.

The senior from Plano, Texas, fired 75-72-74--221 to finish four shots behind medalist Malin Lundberg of Arkansas-Little Rock and post her sixth consecutive top-10 finish dating back to last season.

This week also marked the seventh time in her career Welber has earned the Valley's weekly award. She copped the honor two weeks ago after finishing fifth at the season opener at Nebraska.
