Women's Golf Finishes Golfweek Conference Challenge

The Missouri State women's golf team finished 14 at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Vail, Colo. The Bears were led by freshman Rikke Falsner, who shot 15 over par through the three rounds. The University of Virginia was the eventual team champion, while Virginia's Brittany Altomare was the individual champion, shooting four under.

The Bears were led by junior Kelsey Welber on the final day of competition. Welber shot a 76 to finish 21 over par. The Bears finished with Falsner in 46th, Catherine Dolan in 53 (20 over),  Welber in 55th (21 over), Hermine Greyling in 73rd (27 over) and Emma Clegg in 79th (29 over).

The women's squad will return to the course on Oct. 4-5 for the Jonny Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo. Tee time is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Following their short stint in Columbia, the Bears will host their only home meet of the year in the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Oct. 18-19.
