The Springfield native fanned at least 10 batters on four occasions with a season-high of 14 against MVC champion Illinois State. Kickham ranked 36th nationally in total strikeouts and 63rd in strikeouts per nine innings through June 8.
Gordon pitched in 23 games, all in relief, accumulating a 4-2 record, seven saves and 74 strikeouts in 56 innings. The Salem, Mo., native ranks seventh nationally with 11.89 Ks/9 through June 8, and his seven saves in 2010 ranked fourth in MSU history for a single season and 11th for a career. The freshman righty pitched in two-thirds of MSU’s wins this year.
