Field Hockey Senior Alyssa Hile Brings Home the Hardware

    Missouri State senior Alyssa Hile has been named MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the regular season’s second week.

    The Wildwood, Mo. native led the Bears to two dominant victories during the Labor Day weekend, 7-1 over Robert Morris on Saturday and 7-0 against St. Louis two days later.

    Hile recorded two goals and two assists against Robert Morris. Facing in-state rival Saint Louis, Hile once again scored two goals, and also added another assist. Her weekend performance was good for 11 total points.  

    On the season, Hile leads the MAC in points, 13, and is tied for the league lead with five goals. The midfielder’s output has helped to make MSU the highest-scoring team in the MAC, with a 3.20 goals per game average.

    Up next for Hile and the Bears (2-3) are the 16th-ranked Louisville Cardinals, this Saturday at Plaster Field. The Big East power is 2-2 on the season. Start time is 11:00 a.m.
