The Missouri State women's soccer team (9-5-3, 4-1-1) will face the Creighton Bluejays (12-5-2, 3-2-1) in the semifinal round of the MVC Tournament on Friday, November 6. Kickoff at Morrison Stadium in Omaha, Neb., is set for 6:00 p.m. This is the 14th consecutive season that Missouri State has made the MVC Tournament. With a win over Creighton, the Bears would advance to the championship match to face the winner of Friday's Illinois State-Drake semifinal match.
The Opponents - The Bluejays defeated Missouri State, 3-0 on October 3, in the only matchup between the teams during the regular season. Creighton got goals from Emily Orbell, Erin Gunther and Claire Zach.
Missouri State shut out both Illinois State and Drake at Plaster Field this season.
Claire Hulcer scored the game-winning goal against the Redbirds on October 29. The Bears got goals from
Jenna Dobkins and
Samantha Aguilar in the 2-0 win over Drake on October 18.
The Series - Missouri State holds a slight edge in the series with a 5-4-5 record against the Bluejays all-time. The Bears had a four match unbeaten streak against the Bluejays entering this season. Missouri State edged Creighton on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of last year's MVC Tournament.
The Bears are 5-11-6 all-time against the Redbirds. Missouri State is 2-6-2 against Drake all-time.
In the MVC Tournament - Missouri State is 11-10-4 all-time in the MVC Tournament. The Bears have advanced to the finals three times (1999, 2000, 2001), winning the tournament in 2000.
Coach Rob Brewer - Missouri State head coach
Rob Brewer (Lynchburg College, 1977) is 131-115-30 in his 14th season at the helm of the Bears. Brewer has been the only head coach in Missouri State women's soccer history. Before coming to Missouri State, Brewer went 68-28-2 in five seasons as the women's head coach at Elon (N.C.). His next win will be his 200th as a women's head coach.

- The second-place finish by Missouri State is the highest conference finish in team history. The Bears previous best conference finish was third place, achieved five times in team history.
- Missouri State has only given up 14 goals against this season. That is the second-lowest total in team history (13, 2004).
- The Bears' defense has shut out opponents nine times this season. Combined with the 10 shutouts last season, the 19 total shutouts is the highest two season total since 1999-2000 when the Bears recorded 20.
- Senior
Samantha Aguilar leads the team in goals (5) and points (11) for the second consecutive season. She is the first player to lead the team in back-to-back seasons in goals and points since Jamie Hautzinger in 1996-97.
- Freshman
Megan Jaskowiak led the team with four assists during the regular season. She is the first freshman to lead the team in assists since Chelsea Anderson in 2003.
- The Bears had nine different players score goals this season, five of which were freshmen.

Claire Hulcer has two goals this season. All five were game-winning goals.

Jessica Teahan recorded a 425:58 minute shutout streak from Sept. 11 through Sept. 20. The streak was the longest by a Bear since
Jackie Jasper went 478 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal in 2006 (Sept. 8-24).

Samantha Aguilar scored goals in three straight matches from Oct. 18 through Oct. 25. The last time a Bear scored a goal in three consecutive matches was Tracy Allen from Sept. 29 through Oct. 6, 2002.
