Former Missouri State fullback Jonah White will be back on campus this weekend for Homecoming, and will be available Saturday at the MSU Bookstore from 10-11:30 a.m. to sign his book The Billy-Bob Secret to Life.
White came to MSU in the fall of 1988 as a walk-on for coach Jesse Branch and graduated in 1993 as the 10th-best rusher in school history. He had four career 100-yard rushing games, including a career-high 115-yard output against Indiana State his senior season in 1992. He eventually earned a football scholarship for Coach Branch, was part of two NCAA Division I FCS playoff teams, and helped the Bears enjoy winning seasons all four of his active campaigns.
He earned a degree in Biology and was able to take the things he learned at Missouri State and apply them to his business pursuits. In 1995, with $400 of start-up capital, he co-founded the Billy-Bob Teeth Corporation, which has enjoyed over $50 million in item sales he has either invented or designed.
The Hardin, Ill., native has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, MTV, FOX News, ABC Family, and most-recently on TVLand's "How'd You Get So Rich?," featuring Joan Rivers. His company has also been featured in USA Today, Time, People, and The Wall Street Journal.
Jonah has maintained his love for MSU and is proud to introduce his new autobiography and inspirational book on the University's Homecoming this weekend. He is interested in meeting fellow Bears' fans, shaking hands, and hopes his life's story can inspire others to excel.
The Billy-Bob Secret to Life will be on sale at the MSU Bookstore during the signing for just $20, and each copy comes with a pair of White's famous Billy-Bob novelty teeth, just in time for Halloween.
