Missouri State junior Amy Phalajivin (pronounced Fu-LODGE-u-vin) has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after leading the Bears to a tie for fourth place at the Samford Intercollegiate this past Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 17-18). Phalajivin tied for third place in the medalist race after firing 69-76-75--220, her best career showing. Her 69 also was a career best and the second-best 18-hole score in school history. The Bears tied for fourth in the 15-team field, shooting 307-306-302--915 in three trips around Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala. They are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the UALR Classic in Hot Springs, Ark.
