The Missouri State field hockey team fell in the last 11 seconds of the game to Mid-American Conference foe Ohio University. The Bobcats' Paige Herr tipped in a high goal over the Bears' defense.
The loss drops the Bears to 6-13, 1-8 in the MAC, while Ohio improves to 8-11, 6-4.
Missouri State and Ohio both had strong defenses that kept the other team's forwards at bay. The Bears held Ohio to only six shots in the first half, while the Bears could only get three shots at the goal.
Senior Jessica Schuster made a big play blocking a penalty shot in the second half.
The Bears' last home game of the season is Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at Plaster Field against 2008 MAC conference champions and No. 20 Kent State.
