The Missouri State field hockey team dropped their seventh straight loss to Central Michigan Saturday, 3-1 at Plaster Field. The Bears dropped to 4-11, 1-6 in the Mid-American Conference, while CMU improved to 5-1 on the season, 2-5 in the MAC.
Central Michigan scored first of a corner, from the right side of the field Brooke Sihota sent a pass to Samantha Sandham for the goal.
The Bears tied the game up on a Kristen Pettey cross to Alyssa Hile for her ninth goal of the season.
Missouri State went into half time down 2-1 after Central Michigan got a deflected tip-in that went high over the Bears’ goalkeeper Jessica Schuster.
Central Michigan put a third goal in off a scramble in front of the goal that pulled the Schuster out to far from the goal and slipped past Bears’ defenders.
Missouri State and Central Michigan face off again Sunday, Oct. 26, at noon at Plaster Field.
