Missouri State field hockey was held scoreless against California Sunday afternoo, 1-0, in Berkeley, Calif. The loss drops the Bears to 0-4 on the season while California evens out at 1-1.
California scored the game's only goal at 25:06 in the first half unassisted by Andrea Lo. California also led the Bears in shots, 27-5, and recieved more penalty corners, 11-3.
Senior goalkeeper Kim Kinsella recored 13 saves against California, increasing her season total to 55.
Missouri State will be back on the road Sept. 8 against Louisville at 2 p.m. and Iowa Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at the Dr. Christine H.B. Grant Field, in Iowa City, Iowa.
